Better Late Than Never!

April 15th, 2007

Well it’s been a hectic few weeks to say the least. Anytime you launch a business there are always going to be challenges to overcome to make it happen and here at Wazza.com we have certainly had our share. This is not necessarily a bad thing, in fact for us every obstacle has actually led to a greater benefit. We can’t tell you the amount of times we were told that something was not going to work and then this something became the very thing that opened up a door to new opportunities. That’s business you have to role with the punches, look for the silver lining so to speak.

Don’t let me fool you otherwise the journey has only just began. We don’t for a minute think that the hard part is over. The hardest part is well and truly ahead of us. There are some terrific companies running in our industry with huge communities of users and marketing budgets that we couldn’t even dream about. Add on top of that the fact that new businesses in our industry are coming out of the wood work at the moment and you can see we definitely have our work cut out for us.

Why Wazza is different

We’re not concerned though and here’s why:
We believe that when it all boils down to it just like every other business a business based on the internet is all about customer service. No big surprise there. Everyone preaches it but so few do it. So how are we different? Simple. While almost every other website in our industry is geared towards Recruiters and Big time employers Wazza is all about the individual. The average everyday person that actually makes Australia tick. One look at our site and you can see this. It’s in our branding, it’s in our website’s content and it’s in our business model. Wazza is about the individual. The Job Seeker who is sick and tired of running all over town applying for jobs the old fashioned way, the small business employer who doesn’t have a HR department or the excess funds to fork out the hefty fee most recruiters charge these days and maybe even the small recruitment companies who are just starting up or are keen to build there business.

Now if we were out for the big bucks we would be like everyone else and target ourserlves to the Big End of Town but how would that change anything? Furthermore would we really be helping anyone outside of ourselves? Just as always the little guy is forced to try and fit in with what suits large companies and recruiters.

So Wazza.com is here and here to stay. Our goal is to simplify the process for Job Seekers to find a great job and for Employers to find great staff. We promise to always keep the everyday people as our main focus. Now we are by no means perfect at doing this so if anyone ever has a suggestion or comment whether it be about a service we should offer or a service we aren’t delivering as well as we should then don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and let us know. We love every piece of genuine feedback we can get. Afterall we are only a young company and know that we don’t have all the answers all of the time.

Let me leave you with this one last thought. It is a quote from well known American Sales author and lecturer Zig Ziglar:

“You can get anything you want in this world if you just help enough other people get what they want!”
